The Illinois Interfaith Organization is a non-profit 501(c)(4) & a mother organization with four chapters located in Hanover Park, Roger Park, Oak Lawn, and Chicago, organizes multiple diverse events to cultivate harmony in the community. The organization’s advocacy for unity and diversity is achieved by promoting acceptance and respect for individuals of different religions, cultures, and backgrounds, regardless of their differences.

 Through its efforts, the Illinois Interfaith Organization strives to foster an environment that values diversity and promotes peaceful coexistence amongst its members. By promoting mutual understanding and building relationships between different faiths, the organization aims to create a more interconnected and harmonious society, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and equitable world.

Our team is composed of individuals from various religious and cultural backgrounds, working together towards the same goal. We provide platforms for people of different faiths and cultures to come together, learn from each other, and work towards social justice and equity. Through our initiatives, we strive to make a positive impact on our communities and the world, advocating for inclusivity and diversity.
Our Work

What We Do

Illinois Interfaith Organization carries out a wide range of activities and initiatives to promote interfaith understanding, social justice, and unity among people of different faiths and cultures. Our programs are designed to foster dialogue, build relationships, and promote collaboration among diverse communities.

  • Interfaith Dialogues: We organize and facilitate interfaith dialogues, where people of different faiths can come together and engage in meaningful conversations to better understand each other’s beliefs and values.
  • Community Outreach: We work with local communities to promote social justice and equity through various outreach programs, including food drives, health clinics, and educational workshops.
  • Youth Programs: We offer various programs and activities for youth, including interfaith leadership training, community service projects, and cultural exchange programs.
  • Advocacy: We advocate for policies that promote diversity, inclusion, and social justice in our local communities and beyond.
  • Events and Celebrations: We organize and participate in various events and celebrations that showcase the diversity of our community, including interfaith prayer services, cultural festivals, and community-wide celebrations.

OUR CHAPTERS

As the mother organization, the Illinois Interfaith Organization oversees and supports the interfaith initiatives in Hanover Park, Oak lawn, Roger Park, and Chicago. While each chapter has its own distinct identity and objectives, we believe in working together to achieve our shared vision of promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding across Illinois. We value the unique contributions of each local organization and strive to collaborate with them to create a cohesive network of support and solidarity. By fostering partnerships with local communities and organizations, we aim to create a culture of inclusivity and respect that transcends geographical boundaries and promotes interfaith harmony throughout the state. Be Our Volunteer

Volunteering builds safer communities, provide a healthy boost to your self-confidence, self-esteem and life satisfaction. One way or the other, you are contributing to the society with your good deeds.

Many of our Events and activities are made possible by the work of volunteers. If you would like join or volunteer us, fill out the form and contribute a little to help the community. You can also just show up to one of our monthly gatherings or other programs and offer to lend a hand. Volunteering is a good way to meet new people, help the community, and have fun along the way!
